Ingredients

1)        2 Cup boiled rice
2)       For the green layer
3)       1/2 cup boiled peas
4)        1/2 cup boiled spinach
5)        1 finely chopped onion
6)        1 bay leaf
7)        1 tbsp ghee
8)        1 chopped green chilly
9)        Salt to taste

For the red layer
1 cup grated carrots
1 tomato cut into slices
1 tsp garam masala

For Garnishing
2 tbsp grated cheese
2 tbsp grated cocunut Method
1:  Heat up ghee in a pot and fry the onions for a few minutes.
2:  Now add the spinach, bay leaf, green peas, chillies, salt and mix well. When they give off fragrance then remove it from flame.
3:  Add a little salt to the boiled rice or add salt to the water in which the rice is boiled.
4:  Grease a baking dish and spread one cup of cooked rice at the bottom of the pan.
5:  Next Spread the spinach mixture. Pour one more cup of rice on the top of spinach layer and cover it.
6:  Now spread the grated carrot and top with tomato slices. Sprinkle with garam masala or chat masala and cover with remaining rice.
7:  Spread the grated cheese and cocunut on the top for decoration. Bake in hot oven for 10 minutes.
8:  You are ready to serve some lip smacking, finger licking pulao.

How to cook rice
1:  Wash the Indian Basmati rice properly. Soak in water for five minutes.
2:  Boil rice till it becomes soft (don't overboil).

Note
You can use whatever method you prefer to cook rice, rice cooker, sauce pan or pressure cooker.
