Kempegowda birthday celebrations across the Bengaluru city.
Various programs have been organized across the city of Bangalore to celebrate Nadaprabhu Kempegowda’s birthday on 11th April. He is the founder of this beautiful Bengaluru city in the year 1537.
Below are some of the noted programs to mark the day:
BBMP he civic body of the city has organized Torch receiving programme (originating from the four city border towers) at its palike office at 11:00am. This program is preceded to the Cultural Programme in association with BBMP Officers/Staff Association & Distribution of Best Employees Awards at 4:00pm which is followed by Prize Distribution and Sports award distribution by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka at 6:00pm
For the first time the Department of Information & Public Relations has organised an exhibition of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda in the Palike Premises.
Decoration and Special Lighting has been undertaken at the BBMP office, Town hall, the four city border towers and prominent gardens.
The Bengaluru city Mayor G.Padmavati will also pay her homage will also be paid to his daughter-in-law Lakshmi Devi’s tomb in Koramangala. His daughter-in-law had sacrificed her life for successful completion of the city.
